Exploring the City in Shades of Grey

Happy MLK Day!

Being back in STL for a new semester signifies the start to a handful of new classes, stacks of books that seem to be miles high, freezing tempratures, oversized coats, and meetings, meetings, meetings! Despite my to-do list that seems to get longer by the minute, I love penciling in a little time to explore the city.

This past week, David and I found a few hours to walk around downtown and have an early-evening dinner together. If there’s one thing St. Louis is certainly not lacking…it’s great resturaunts! This grey blanket coat that I picked up on our recent trip to Michigan Ave was the perfect top layer for an afternoon/evening of walking around. Due to the temperatures (and wind..oh my goodness I’m finding it really difficult to handle the wind latley) I was forced to dress warmly. In a grey and white striped sweater paired with a gray scarf and grey over coat, it wouldn’t be a stretch to say that I was wearing 50 shades.

For an icy touch, I added on my favorite new crossbody bag by Rebecca Minkoff. Would it be dramatic to say that this bag has changed my life? It’s perfect for carrying the little things I need for exploring the city (you know, a good lip color, hand lotion, and my iPhone) and I can’t get over the fabulous leather tassles and multitude of zippers this bag is adorned with. Surely, it will be appearing in many posts to come!
